MOT Check UK

The full history check, stated honestly

The free MOT check on this site reads everything DVSA publishes. Finance, write-off and stolen records are different: they live in licensed commercial and police databases. Here is exactly what a paid report would add, what it would cost, and a button that tells us you want it.

Frequently asked

What would the full history check cover?

Outstanding finance, insurance write-off category, police stolen marker, scrapped and import/export status, plate changes, keeper count and a valuation, together with the full MOT and mileage history this site already shows free.

Why is it not free like the MOT check?

The MOT record is public data, so charging for it would be indefensible and we never will. Finance, write-off and stolen records sit in commercial and police databases that must be licensed per lookup, which is why every provider charges for them.

How much will it cost?

£3.99 for a single report at launch pricing, locked until 31 December 2026, and £11.99 for a three-report pack. The standard prices of £9.99 and £24.99 apply from 1 January 2027. The market leader charges around £20 for the same underlying data.

When does it go live?

When enough people press the button on this page. We refuse to buy data licences before real demand exists, and the button is how you register that demand. No email needed.
